Image Headline Plugin

coldforged Image Headline Plugin gives you really nice shadows, I’ll have to check out how he did that. (5)

    The only turn-off about such plug-ins is that something fundamental like a title becomes bandwidth-consuming. I think you could write some CSS to overlay text and get so-called shadows.

    I’ve seen a CSS way of doing it - http://www.castofshadows.net/cover.php - the problem is that you have to repeat the text, so to a non-CSS browser, you get ‘cast of cast of cast of shadows shadows shadows’

    also the cache become full and the files require deletion from time to time.

    Of course you could. But they wouldn’t contain secret elven magic or pixie dust.
