Google Sitemaps

Google Sitemaps seem strange to me, but you can generate them with WordPress now. (4)

    The benefit that I can see is that Google can know when old posts are updated without having to check them every few days, by looking at the “last updated” field in the Sitemap. And theoretically, if they are adopted as a standard, they could make robots much nicer to your site’s bandwidth, as it can rely on you to tell it when content has changed.

    There are further benefits:

    - You not the search engine decide on the relative priority the pages from your site ought to get in the search engine results pages.

    - Sites with non search engine accessable links can use the site map to guide robots to deep content
