Vote for WordPress in the Best Open Source Social Networking CMS Award. No, I have no idea what that category means either. (19)

I just voted for WordPress.org, but there is (early pre-alpha edition) Crabgrass.

“Crabgrass is a software libre web application designed for group and network organizing, and tailored to the needs of the global justice movement. The long term goal is to provide the technical tools to facilitate active, confederal, and directly democratic social change networks.” more »

I don’t know packtpub but their “Vote for” page is surely a model of what not to do. I didn’t even spot where you’re supposed to actually vote for something.

I don’t see how Wordpress could lose in a contest like this!

I love Wordpress! However, trying to actually find the voting booth was hard in this scenario. I finally found it. It’s in the top right section of the page. They certainly have my “email” I mean vote for Wordpress. I also saw a wonderful short “optional” survey for a chance to win a “free Ipod Nano”. Sure why not. Thanks for the opportunity to spread the Word on Wordpress. :D

    I voted for WordPress.
I also agree that the voting page is pretty bad.

It’s too bad (and entirely unbelievable) that WordPress and Moodle are in the same category. The two products are designed for totally different markets/purposes IMHO: WordPress for blogging/content management and Moodle for managing online courses. The products are two of the best I have ever used–now I can’t vote for either.
