Automattic has bought Gravatar. Om sees it as a larger trend, but to us it was just a good fit. ¶

Crazy cool! A big congrats is in order. It will be interesting to see where Gravatar ends up with the buy.

This is great news! I was going to suggest that the original Gravatar definition that I provided on Wikipedia (that was edited a few times after by others - so cool) will need updating, but I see that it has been removed and incorporated into the entry for Avatar, which has been done quite well, actually. I wonder if Tom remembers when I emailed him to let him know that his creation had a definition…
