Licensing matters

Phil checks out MT license. Aren’t most software licenses similarly gross and nasty? I suspect most of this was from a template of some sort. I read a Microsoft EULA once and had nightmares for weeks. The GPL isn’t bad. (3)

    Actually, the GPL is pretty complex around the edges. But it’s relatively well-understood by now, since it hasn’t changed in 13 years.

    Gosh, when Phil puts it into perspective, 6A begins to look like (*shudder*) Microsoft! I hope they get these issues clarified ASAP. Nobody in their right mind would want to purchase software with a license like that. I have nothing against that company and have no problem with buying their software, but I won’t use software with such an insane license.

    Scott, you probably use software with much worse licenses than that every day.
